Eredivisie: bike tyre manufacturer CST extends partnership with Ajax until 2017-18

The Chinese bicycle tyre manufacturer CST (Cheng Shin Tire) has extended its partnership with AFC Ajax Amsterdam (Eredivisie) until the end of the 2017-18 season, the club announced on 12/08/2015. The partnership began in August 2013.

The agreement will enable the tyre manufacturer to use the image of Ajax and feature in the club's media communications, as well as the LED advertising boards at the Amsterdam ArenA (53,000 seats). "The amount of the partnership has tripled compared to the previous agreement," said Edwin van der Sar, the marketing director of Ajax. CST has strengthened its partnership by becoming an official partner, the second level in the club's partnership portfolio. The brand wants to communicate internationally by increasing its support of the Dutch club.

CST is a subsidiary of the Cheng Shin Rubber Group, founded in Taiwan in 1967. The company distributes products in more than 170 countries and employs nearly 25,000 people worldwide. Its European headquarters are in the Netherlands.
