Premier League clubs held a conference at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in north London (ENG) on 01/09/2015 aimed at developing countermeasures to the revenue threat posed by fake merchandising. During the 2013-14 season, Premier League enforcement officials seized more than 500,000 counterfeit items with a value of £3.1m (€4.2m).

The Football Against Fakes conference was attended by sponsors and kit manufacturers, and was comprised of presentations and the opportunity to meet with club officials and enforcement officers. "Football Against Fakes is about creating a forum where the collective experience and strategies of industry experts can be shared to reduce the trade of counterfeit merchandise," stated Richard Masters, the Premier League’s managing director.

Total cumulative Premier League merchandising and commercial revenues in 2013-14 amounted to £880.6m (€1.2bn).
