The Indian information technology group WiPro has become a digital partner of Chelsea FC (Premier League) in 2015-16, the club announced on 03/09/2015.

"We will work with WiPro to create digital and technology experiences for millions of fans that spans not only their in-stadium experience on game day but also their digital experience anytime and anywhere," said Chelsea. Manchester United FC announced a similar partnership with WiPro's Indian competitor, HCL Technologies, on 02/09/2015.

Chelsea also hope to increase their visibility in India with this agreement. The club has 2 million Facebook fans in the country, representing 4.7% of its total community on the social network, which amounts to 43.5 million fans as of 04/09/2015. The club generated £109m (€149.1m) in commercial revenue during the 2013-14 season.
