Liga BBVA: Getafe CF is the latest European Top 5 club to create an official Twitter account

Getafe CF (Liga BBVA) has created its official account on Twitter (@GetafeCF), and thus became the 20^th and last club of the Spanish top division to possess an account on the social network, as of 07/09/2015. Getafe are the last club of the Top 5 European leagues (Liga BBVA, Barclays Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A TIM and Ligue 1) to now have an official Twitter account.

The club totaled 5,900 followers by the late afternoon of its first on Twitter. Real Madrid CF (17 million followers) and FC Barcelona (15.9 million followers) are the two most followed sports clubs in the world on Twitter, according to figures recorded by News Tank Football on 05/09/2015. Getafe CF are now present on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
