The Scotland - Germany (2-3) qualification match (Group D) for Euro 2016, broadcast live and exclusively in Germany by RTL, allowing the private free-TV channel to collect 11.83 million viewers on average during the match, held at Hampden Park (52,000 seats) in Glasgow (SCO) on Monday, 07/09/2015 from 20:45 CET.

This figure represents a 38.8% audience share across the German public (40% for persons aged 14-49 years old), which meant that RTL achieved the best performance of the day in the German TV market. It is also, for RTL, a new record high audience for a qualification match for the German national team for Euro 2016, ahead of the 11.62 million viewers who followed the channel for the 2-0 win of die Mannschaft in Georgia on 29/03/2015.
