FIFA: Chung Mong-joon presents an eight point manifesto for the presidency

The Korean Chung Mong-joon, a FIFA presidential candidate, presented an eight point manifesto for change at the international federation, on 05/09/2015.

Chung Mong-joon announced his intention to stand for the FIFA presidential election on 30/07/2015. The vote will take place during an extraordinary FIFA Congress in Zurich (SUI) on 26/02/2016. The deadline for submission of candidate applications in 26/10/2015. A candidate for the presidency of FIFA must be supported by at least five of the 209 national federations.

"We were all surprised and saddened by the scandals recently gripping the organisation. It is time for FIFA to open a new chapter. Continuity is important. But so is change. I am ready to seize this moment to rebuild FIFA. I will make FIFA an open, ethical, and truly global organsation," stated Chung Mong-joon.
