The American fast food chain McDonald's has extended its partnership with the DFB until December 2018, the German Federation announced on 08/09/2015. The two have been linked since 2003.

McDonald's will continue the "Player Escort" programme which allows children to accompany the players of die Mannschaft onto the field. "We’ve been able to make the dreams of over 1,500 children come true through this programme. This contract extension with the DFB gives us the opportunity to make many more children happy over the next three years," stated Holger Beeck, president of McDonald's Germany.

The DFB had a budget of €211m in 2014. The amount of the commercial partnerships is valued at €60m.
