"I hope we will find a solution that, in the future, perhaps the transfer market will end when the season begins," stated Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on 09/09/2015. The chairman of the board of FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) was re-elected as the head of the ECA on 08/09/2015.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge cited the late transfer of the Belgian international Kevin de Bruyne from VfL Wolfsburg (Bundesliga) to Manchester City FC (Premier League) for €74m on 30/08/2015, 14 days after the start of the 2015-16 Bundesliga season. "It was noticeable that this young man did not have a totally clear mind, as he had the offer from Manchester. Naturally, for the clubs and the coaches, the situation was not easy to manage," Rummenigge stated to the German sports TV news channel Sky Sport News HD on 09/09/2015.
