Liga BBVA: France is the most represented foreign country in the Spanish league with 29 players

29 French players are contracted to the 20 clubs in the Liga BBVA for 2015-16, making it the most represented foreign country in Spain, according to statistics released by LaLiga on 08/09/2015.

A total of 495 players make up the combined squads of the 20 clubs, just under 25 players per club. Of those 495 players, 299 are Spanish (60.4%) and 196 are foreign (39.6%).

With 29 players registered in the Spanish league (14.8% of all the foreign players), France is ahead of Argentina (28 players), Brazil (27), Portugal (16), Italy (14) and Uruguay (9). These five countries are the only ones, in 2015-16, to have more than five players represented in the Liga BBVA.
