Football League: "With fibre optics, we could broadcast to screens all over the world."

The fibre optic network installed in 2014-15 in all 72 stadiums of the Sky Bet Football League for live broadcast and high definition meetings, "would allow us to stream games, subject to all the rights, overseas at the time they are being played", said Shaun Harvey, the chief executive of the professional league that manages the 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th English divisions, at the Soccerex convention in Manchester (ENG) on 09/09/2015.

"We could broadcast our stadiums to screens all over the world. What additional income does that generate for the Football League? That is an evaluation that we are going through at the moment," said Shaun Harvey, explaining to Reuters that the pay-per-view streaming of some games could eventually accompany the traditional broadcasting rights contracts for the Football League abroad.
