Liga BBVA: Barcelona reveal the final architects for the Espai Barça project

FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) unveiled the final architectural firms for the Espai Barça project, which includes the renovation of the Camp Nou and the construction of the Palau Blaugrana (a 10,000 seat arena), on 08/09/2015. Eight international firms were chosen for the modernisation of the Camp Nou and six for the construction of the Palau Blaugrana.

Of the €600m project, €420m will be spent on the renovation of the Camp Nou, €90m for the construction of the Palau Blaugrana and €90m on car parks (5,000 places), the new Mini Estadi (the youth team centre) and Espai Barça (shopping area). The new Camp Nou will have a capacity of 105,000 covered seats, compared to the current capacity of 99,350 seats. Work is scheduled to begin in May 2017 to be completed by February 2021.

The various firms selected must submit their work by December 2015.
