FIFA: Domenico Scala plans to limit the number of presidential mandates to a maximum of three

"In his role as independent chairman of the FIFA Audit and Compliance Committee, Domenico Scala has issued an 8-point reform plan, which he has presented to the 2016 FIFA Reform Committee and its chairman François Carrard at the committee’s initial meeting on 02/09/2015," announced FIFA on 10/09/2015.

Limiting the number of presidential mandates (three terms of a maximum four years for the president and members of the Executive Committee), the election of members of the Executive Committee by the FIFA Congress and revising the process of awarding World Cups are some of Domenico Scala's proposals. His plan was posted in full by FIFA on its website, "in a spirit of transparency".

The 2016 FIFA Reform Committee is responsible for developing a series of reform proposals that will be presented at the forthcoming FIFA extraordinary congress, in Zurich on 26/02/2016, at which the Congress will elect a successor to Joseph Blatter for the presidency of the International Federation.
