Serie A: wine maker Umberto Cesari becomes a partner of Bologna FC 1909 in 2015-16

The wine maker Umberto Cesari has become a partner of Bologna FC 1909 (Serie A TIM) as well as the official wine supplier in the hospitality areas of the Renato-Dall'Ara Stadium (38,200 seats) for the 2015-16 season, the club announced on 11/09/2015.

The company, which manages 350 hectares in the hills between Castel San Pietro Terme and Imola (Emilia-Romagna), exports wines to more than seventy countries around the world. "Canada, particularly Quebec, is one of our priority markets. Two years ago, our regional manager offered me a collaboration agreement with the Montreal Impact, Joey Saputo's club. At the time, there was no connection with Bologna FC," said Umberto Cesari. The American-Canadian group led by the US attorney Joseph Tacopina and the Canadian businessman Joey Saputo acquired Bologna FC 1909 on 15/10/2014. The amount of the sale was estimated at €40m by Italian media.

The official uniform of Bologna FC 1909 will only feature local companies during the 2015-16 season: in addition to the main shirt sponsor FAAC (manufacturer of automatic doors) and the energy producer…
