"The UEFA Club Financial Control Body Investigatory Chamber (CFCB IC) has confirmed the lifting of a number of restrictions imposed on Manchester City FC and Paris Saint-Germain FC," stated UEFA on 11/09/2015. The European body announced "provisional" lifting of sanctions on 02/07/2015.

The main measures concerned in the settlement agreements signed by both clubs with UEFA on 16/05/2015 were €60m retention of prize money (including €20m already paid), limiting to 21 (instead of 25) the number of players who can play in European competition, strict limits on deficits and "considerable" transfer spending restrictions.

"In particular, both clubs have been released, as from this season, from the restriction on registering new players in UEFA competitions, from the limit on the number of players on their A list, and from the restriction on the total amount of employee benefit expenses," added UEFA on 11/09/2015.

Paris Saint-Germain have achieved the objectives set by UEFA, "a year earlier than expected"
