Migrants: after Bayern and Real Madrid, the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation donates €1m to refugees

The Paris Saint-Germain Foundation has donated €1m to the French Secours Populaire (private relief and aid organisation) and UNHCR (United Nations High Commission for Refugees) to help refugees in Europe, the club announced on 09/09/2015. Paris Saint-Germain are following the example of FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) and Real Madrid CF (Liga BBVA), who each also donated €1m to support projects and organisations helping asylum seekers.

"The donation from the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation will be allocated to a special fund for children and families in France and abroad. The Foundation will also support, in terms of skills sponsorship, the provision of sports facilities and communication to aid the refugees," said the Parisian club in a statement.
