France is the only country in Europe's Top 5, where the Champions League is only broadcast on pay-TV

France is the only country in the Top 5 European leagues (alongside Germany, England, Spain and Italy) where no Champions League matches (except the final) are broadcast on a free to access TV channel during the 2015-2018 cycle.

In Germany (ZDF) and Spain (TV3), a public broadcaster shows one match of the Champions League on each week of the competition, as well as the final (in Spain, the Catalan public broadcaster TV3 broadcasts the same match as the national private free-TV channel Antena 3).

In England, the pay-TV group BT Sport offers "BT Sport Showcase", a channel available free on TNT, which will broadcast at least 12 Champions League matches and 14 Europa League matches in 2015-16; a match showing each English club in the competition will be aired at least once during the season. "BT Sport Showcase" is broadcasting the match between AS Roma - FC Barcelona (Group E), this Wednesday, 16/09/2015 at 20:45 CET.
