Germany: The DFL launches video-on-demand archives of the Bundesliga in association with Sky

The DFL has officially launched its VoD service of archival of images and video of the Bundesliga, on 16/09/2015. The first partner and distributor of the service is the pay-TV group Sky Deutschland, which is offering the "Bundesliga Collection" to its subscribers of Sky and Sky Go (live streaming and replay service of Sky programmes on Internet and mobile platforms).

50 episodes, at a total duration of 30 hours, are available now; they are classified into eight categories, including "The Bundesliga legends", "The most beautiful goals," "My season," and "Finals", covering the 52 seasons of the German Bundesliga. The content, accompanied by the original or updated commentaries, is managed and produced by Sportcast, a subsidiary of the DFL specialising in TV production services.

Sportcast has 65,000 hours of archives in total. “The Bundesliga has a distinctive history.
