FIFPro file a complaint against "the illegal transfer system" before the European Commission

FIFPro have filed a complaint against "the illegal transfer system" before the European Commission in Brussels, on 18/09/2015. This legal offensive was officially announced by the international union on the 10/07/2015: "Despite the time left to the European professional leagues and clubs, no positive response has been made to reform requirements, particularly concerning the application of the system of illegal transfers of FIFA. Representatives of FIFPro meeting in Paris (FRA) decided to file a complaint with the European Commission."

"The purpose of the complaint is to modify the FIFA regulations which are either contrary to Community law or that do not respect the 2001 deal made with the European Commission. The complaint will attempt to impose a minimum reciprocity between employers and employees," said Philippe Piat, president of FIFPro on the 08/09/2015.
