Manchester City (Premier League) have launched "CityVR", an application which functions via a virtual reality headset and a smartphone or tablet allowing the user to enjoy a 360° immersive experience, the club announced on 14/09/2015.

To enjoy the various games on the application, the user must stand, turn on themself and stabilise their eyes on an icon visible on the screen to interact with the application. The application offers virtual experiences such as standing in the wall for a free kick taken by one of the club's players, exploring a panoramic view of the Etihad Stadium, standing in the middle of the women's team's training session or playing a "find the ball" game featuring several of the City players.

Fans who want to test the new app can order the limited edition headset on the club website. The app is available on both iOS and Android.
