Liga BBVA: 10 ex-players, including Figo and Kluivert become international ambassadors of Liga BBVA

Luis Figo (POR), Roberto Carlos (BRA), Fernando Morientes (ESP), Ismael Urzaiz (ESP), Gaizka Mendieta (ESP), Patrick Kluivert (HOL), Christian Karembeu (FRA), Michel Salgado (ESP), Frédéric Kanouté (MLI) and David Albelda (ESP) were appointed international ambassadors of the Liga BBVA, on 17/09/2015.

These 10 former players, who all played in the Spanish league for at least six seasons (except for Christain Karembeu, three) during their career, became part of the #LaLigaAmbassadors team. Ambassadors are responsible for promoting the image of the Liga BBVA outside of Spain.

It is a great responsibility and a pleasure to be an ambassador with the other players," said Luis Figo, former FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF player (Liga BBVA), and winner of the 2000 Ballon d'Or, on 17/09/2015.
