Liga BBVA: League allows stadium access for Mediaset España to film highlights

The audiovisual group Mediaset España has once again been allowed access to Liga BBVA stadiums in order to film footage for match highlights, with a maximum duration of 90 seconds per day of matches, said LaLiga, on 17/09/2015.

The Spanish League had forbidden stadium access to Mediaset España since the beginning of the 2015-16 season (on 21/08/2015), as the broadcaster had refused to sign an agreement with LaLiga recognising the exclusive extended highlights rights to the 2015-16 Liga BBVA and Copa del Rey competitions were attributed to the Spanish public broadcaster RTVE, on 29/07/2015.

  • "In accordance with the ruling of the CNMC on 17/09/2015, in accordance with Article 19.3 of the General Law 7/2010 of 31 March for audiovisual communication, and in accordance with the framework established by the applicable regulations of the European Union, LaLiga guarantees access for Mediaset España Comunicación, SA, to the mixed zone and spaces for filming the events for the broadcast of images in general news programs, limted to 90 seconds of images during each day of a matchday,
