Matchday 5 of the 2015-16 Bundesliga season attracted an average of 41,997 spectators from 18 to 20/09/2015. The average attendance of the German championship is currently at 43,584 spectators per match for the 2015-16 season, a 93% fill rate.

The match between Borussia Dortmund - Bayer 04 Leverkusen (3-0), who are both competing in the group stage of the Champions League this season, drew the best crowd of the day, with 81,359 spectators at Signal Iduna Park.

The match between SV Darmstadt 98 - FC Bayern Munich (0-3), despite being sold out, had the lowest attendance of the weekend with 17,000 spectators. It was also the only match played in front of fewer than 28,000 people on Matchday 5 of the season.
