Three Ligue 1 Matchdays are scheduled to take place on weekdays in 2015-16, which represents the second lowest total of weekday fixtures out of the Top 5 European leagues. The first of the three Ligue 1 fixtures on a weekday was scheduled from 22 to 24/09/2015 (Matchday 7) and started with the match between Angers SCO - Stade de Reims (0-0), on 22/09/2015. The other weekday fixtures are on Matchday 16 (02/12/2015) and Matchday 24 (03/02/2016).

In the Top 5, only the Bundesliga has fewer scheduled weekday matches (2) in the 2015-16 season. The German league is the only one of the Top 5 leagues to feature only 34 Matchdays (18 teams), compared to 38 (20 teams) for the others.

In the Premier League and La Liga, four Matchdays are scheduled on weekdays in 2015-16, one fewer than the Serie A TIM, with five.
