Liga BBVA: Guarana Energy Drink extends partnership with UD Las Palmas until 2016-17

The beverages brand Guarana Energy Drink, which belongs to the Ahemon group, has extended its partnership with UD Las Palmas (Liga BBVA) until the end of the 2016-17 season, the club announced on 22/09/2015.

Ahemon, a company based in the Canary Islands, is involved in the bottling and distribution of Pepsi and Schweppes brands in the province of Las Palmas. The Guarana Energy Drink logo will be displayed on one of the pillars next to the grada Naciente, one of the corners of the Gran Canaria Stadium (31,250 seats). The energy drink, as well as the drinks brand PepsiMax, will be distributed by Ahemon in the different sales points of the stadium.

The Union Deportiva Las Palmas, newly promoted to the Liga BBVA, has a budget of €33m and can expect €6m in sponsorship and advertising revenues for the 2015-16 season.

  • The club generated €600,000 in sponsorship revenue and €900,000 in advertising revenue during the 2013-14 Liga Adelante season.
