Under Armour launches its first football clip: “Slay Your Next Giant”

The American kit manufacturer Under Armour has unveiled its first online advert for football with a video featuring the Dutch international Memphis Depay (Manchester United FC), around the slogan “Slay Your Next Giant”, on 22/09/2015. Depay has been the brand’s ambassador since 27/02/2015. The clip was produced by the American agency Droga5, which is also working with the German kit manufacturer Puma and New York City FC (MLS) in the sports sector.

The video shows six footballers, young and grown up, with Memphis Depay among them, getting ready in the dressing room for their next match. The sequence notably focuses on the laces of the players, which have slogans such as “Score in front of 75,000 people”. Other than Memphis Depay, the five other footballers in the ad are supporters of a club sponsored by the brand: Colo Colo (Chile), Cruz Azul (Mexico), Sao Paulo FC (Brazil) and Tottenham Hotspur (Premier League).
