Serie A TIM: Joseph Tacopina resigns as president of Bologna FC

The American lawyer Joseph Tacopina has resigned as president and member of the administrative board of FC Bologna 1909 (Serie A TIM), on 19/09/2015.

"Mr. (Joey) Saputo wishes to Mr Tacopina the best success in his future activities, while Mr. Tacopina is convinced that with the financial support and guidance of Mr. Saputo, Bologna FC will have a brilliant future," announced the Italian club, on 20/09/2015.

For several months, there had been financial disputes between Joe Tacopina and the Canadian businessman Joey Saputo, who had partnered with each other to buy the Italian club on, 15/10/2014. Joe Tacopina had even filed a lawsuit for defaulted payment against his partner, before a court in New York (USA), according to the Canadian press, on 20/09/2015. An amicable agreement between the two men was found.
