FIFA: J. Blatter says he did "nothing illegal or improper" and announces that he will not resign

"President Blatter spoke to FIFA staff today and informed the staff that he was cooperating with the authorities, reiterated that he had done nothing illegal or improper and stated that he would remain as president of FIFA," announced the lawyers of Joseph Blatter, FIFA president, on 28/09/2015.

The Swiss Justice opened a criminal case against Joseph Blatter, FIFA president, suspected of "criminal mismanagement and, alternatively, misappropriation," on 25/09/2015. "Additionally, Mr. Joseph Blatter is suspected of a disloyal payment of 2m Swiss Francs (€1.54m at the time of the payment) to Michel Platini, UEFA president, at the expense of FIFA, which was allegedly made for work performed between January 1999 and June 2002 ; this payment was executed in February 2011," said a statement from the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (MPC), on 25/09/2015.
