UEFA: "I have not been accused of any wrongdoing" (Michel Platini)

"You will surely understand that firstly I have not been accused of any wrongdoing, and secondly that as a matter of respect, I will refrain from making detailed statements in connection with the ongoing investigation," said Michel Platini, UEFA president, in a letter to the presidents and general secretaries of the 54 member federations of the European Confederation, on 28/09/2015.

The Swiss Justice opened a criminal case against Joseph Blatter, FIFA president, suspected of "criminal mismanagement and, alternatively, misappropriation," on 25/09/2015. "Additionally, Mr. Joseph Blatter is suspected of a disloyal payment of 2m Swiss Francs (€1.54m at the time of the payment) to Michel Platini, UEFA president, at the expense of FIFA, which was allegedly made for work performed between January 1999 and June 2002 ; this payment was executed in February 2011," said a statement from the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (MPC), on 25/09/2015.
