"We have to solve the problem [of sporting fraud in Spanish football]. If someone tells me something, I will pass the information onto the police and anti-government corruption investigators. We will do our best to help shed light on these cases." said Javier Tebas Medrano, new President of the LFP (Spanish Professional Football League). Medrano told Marca, the Madrid-based sports newspaper on 23/04/2013, "I will not force anyone to speak, but I would appreciate it if you come and speak to me. Clubs agree with me,". The 50-year old lawyer who runs a legal consulting firm specialising in sport law, will remain President of the LFP until 2017.
