Fox International Channels: Frank Rutten appointed vice-president of FIC Sports Europe and Africa

The Dutchman Frank Rutten has been appointed the executive vice-president of FIC Sports Europe and Africa, said Fox International Channels, the international entity of US conglomerate 21st Century Fox, on 28/09/2015. Rutten is under the direct authority of Jan Koeppen, president of FIC Europe Sports and Africa.

Frank Rutten will continue as the managing director Fox Sports pay channels in the Netherlands, as well as remain based in Amsterdam (NED). Since 2005, Frank Rutten leads the EMM (Eredivisie Media & Marketing) company, acquired by FIC in 2010. EMM, which owns Fox Sports interests in the Netherlands, manages the pay channel Eredivisie Live, dedicated to the Dutch first division, and renamed Fox Sports Eredivisie on 01/08/2013.

Frank Rutten is the former CEO of Eredivisie and former deputy chairman of the EPFL.

  • FIC Europe & Asia manages the Fox Sports channels in the Netherlands, Italy, Turkey, Israel, Greece and sub-Saharan Africa.
