FIFA: Michel Platini is "between a witness and an accused person" (Michael Lauber, Swiss AG)

"We did not (question) Mr. Platini as a witness, we investigated him as in between a witness and an accused person," said Michael Lauber, the Attorney General of Switzerland, on 29/09/2015.

Michael Lauber is, since 2011, the head of the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland, which announced on 27/05/2015 that it had opened a criminal case against persons unknown under suspicion of mismanagement and money laundering surrounding the allocation of the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups in Russia and Qatar respectively.

The Swiss justice opened a criminal case against Joseph Blatter, the FIFA president, suspected of "criminal mismanagement and, alternatively, misappropriation," on 25/09/2015.
