Spain: BBVA (bank) launches a platform with LaLiga dedicated to derbies

The Spanish bank BBVA, the title sponsor and partner of LaLiga since 2006, has launched an activation with the Spanish league for the "Derbis Sin Empate" (Derbies without Draws) promotion, which offers fans the opportunity to win prizes and participate in games on the dedicated platform "derbissinempate.com" in order to avoid "a boring day after a derby draw", the league announced on 22/09/2015.

The scheme was first used at the Basque derby between Real Sociedad de Fútbol - Athletic Club Bilbao (0-0, Liga BBVA Matchday 6), on 27/09/2015. The platform gave a supporter, drawn at random, the chance to symbolically decide the result of the 1999 Basque derby (1-1), by allowing them to take a penalty at halftime in the match and win an autographed shirt. The platform also offers a quiz with a prize of VIP access for two to various matches. The operation will be repeated at six Spanish derbies.
