Serie A: "Inter Milan are ready to invest €150m for the renovation of the San Siro" (Erick Thohir)

"We have been working on the project for the renovation of the San Siro (80,000 seats) for nine months. We are ready to invest € 150 million in a concession project with the City of Milan. We have talked about this for a year with the municipality, San Siro is our home," stated Erick Thohir, the Indonesian majority shareholder of FC Internazionale Milano (Serie A TIM), according to the Italian daily La Repubblica on 27/09/2015.

This statement comes as Silvio Berlusconi, the majority shareholder of AC Milan (Serie A TIM) announced plans to abandon the proposed new stadium for his club, and therefore remain at the San Siro, on 14/09/2015. "I have no comments about what happened to AC Milan, we just read it in the newspapers. Our management will meet with them to understand what they want. I respect Barbara Berlusconi (youngest daughter of Silvio Berlusconi and co-managing CEO of the club for business) and Adriano Galliani (co-CEO for sport)," said Erick Thohir.
