Premier League: Sport 24 extends its rights to broadcast in aircraft and cruise ships (2016-2019)

The live broadcast of Barclays Premier League matches, and associated programs, on the channel Sport 24, available on commercial flights and cruise ships, has been extended for the 2016 to 2019 cycle, following the acquisition of these rights by the agency IMG on 28/09/2015.

The marketing and media rights agency IMG also holds these rights for the 2013-2016 cycle. Its channel Sport 24 is currently broadcast in more than 250 aircraft of the airlines Emirates, Etihad, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines.

In addition to the Premier League, the channel, launched in March 2012, also broadcasts the Bundesliga, 2015 Rugby World Cup, the NFL, Formula 1, ATP 1000 tournaments and the four major golf tournaments (British Open, US Open, The PGA Championship, and The Masters).

  • The Sport 24 channel has also been available, since 23/02/2012, on the cruise ships of the American company Norwegian Cruise Line.
    • The channel's live on-board broadcasts notably included the 2014 World Cup.
