Ligue 1: City of Paris denies an offer to sell the Parc des Princes to Paris Saint-Germain

"The City of Paris formally denies the information published Friday 02/10/2015 by the newspaper Le Parisien that an offer was made to Paris Saint-Germain to sell the Parc des Princes stadium (47,929 seats)," the Paris City Hall said in a statement on 02/10/2015.

"The City recalls that an occupancy agreement -- in the public domain -- with Paris Saint-Germain is currently underway for the occupation of the Parc des Princes until 2044. This provides for the realisation of large-scale projects of €75m before Euro 2016, funded by the club," the statement from the City of Paris added.

The daily Le Parisien said, in its edition of 02/10/2015, that the City of Paris had offered to Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1) an amount around €100m to cede the enclosure located at Porte de Saint-Cloud (west of downtown Paris), but club officials have not responded.
