FIFA: the German League calls for a "credible explanation" from Michel Platini

"What Platini has told us so far is just not enough. Michel Platini has to give a credible explanation to the public and football fans -- and that is the emphasis: 'credible'. In his letter, he wrote a sentence that I did not like at all: that he does not want to comment further as it is an ongoing investigation," said Reinhard Rauball, president of the DFL, on 01/10/2015.

"You will surely understand that firstly I have not been accused of any wrongdoing, and secondly that as a matter of respect, I will refrain from making detailed statements in connection with the ongoing investigation," said Michel Platini, UEFA president, in a letter to the presidents and general secretaries of the 54 member federations of the European Confederation, on 28/09/2015. The letter was in response to the opening of criminal proceedings by the Swiss Justice against Joseph Blatter, FIFA president, suspected of "criminal mismanagement and, alternatively, misappropriation," on 25/09/2015.
