Bayern: Hoeness to be suspended from duty after the Champions League final (Der Spiegel)

Bayern Munich President Uli Hoeness, accused of tax evasion, will announce at a meeting of the club's supervisory board on 06/05/2013, that he will be suspended from duty during the investigation of Justice German, revealed the German weekly newspaper Der Spiegel, on 05/05/2013.

This suspension shall take effect, however, after the final of the Champions League (on 25/05/2013 against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley).

Several members of Bayern's board of directors and sponsors, including Herbert Hainer (Adidas, 10% stake in the club) and Rupert Stadler (Audi, 8.2%) want Uli Hoeness to make a swift departure following the revelation made on 20/04/2013, says the magazine.

However, Munich have decided to wait until the end of the 2012-13 season in order not to upset the fans, nor break the enthusiasm currently surrounding the club (German champions, German domestic cup finalists and Champions League finalists), Der Spiegel said.

Uli Hoeness, 61, has previously said on the 21/04/2013, that he would not resign from his post as President of Bayern Munich.
