Georgia: former international Levan Kobiashvili elected president of the Federation

Levan Kobiashvili was elected president of the GFF (Georgian Football Federation) at the Congress of the federation in Tbilisi (GEO), on 03/10/2015.

Levan Kobiashvili (38 years old), a former Georgian international (100 caps between 1996 and 2011), was elected with 18 votes against 15 for Revaz Arveladze, the secretary general of the federation. He succeeds Zviad Sichinava, who was president of the GFF since 2009.

"It's a very emotional day. I can only compare it with when I made my competitive debut or when I received my first call-up to the national team. I understand the great responsibility entrusted to me," said Levan Kobiashvili on 03/10/2015.
