Nike: €7.5bn in revenue in the first quarter of the 2016 fiscal year, a net profit of €1.05bn

The US sports equipment supplier Nike generated annual sales of $8.4bn (€7.5bn) during the first quarter of the 2016 fiscal year (from 01/06/2015 to 31/08/2015), up 5% compared to the first quarter of 2015 ($7.98bn), the company announced on 24/09/2015.

Nike recorded a profit of $1.18bn (€1.05bn), up 23% compared to the first quarter of the 2015 fiscal year, when the company had made a profit of $962m (€858m).

"Our relentless pace of growth is driven by our proven strategy of putting the consumer first, obsessing innovation in everything we do and leveraging our powerful portfolio. We’re well-positioned to continue to deliver long term growth that is both sustainable and profitable,” said Mark Parker, the president and CEO of Nike, on 24/09/2015.
