England: Steve Morgan puts his 100% stake in Wolverhampton Wanderers (Championship) up for sale

“Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Sky Bet Championship) announces today that after eight eventful and enjoyable years at the club, and after much thought, owner and chairman Steve Morgan has decided to put his 100% shareholding in the club up for sale,” the club released in a statement on 28/09/2015.

Wolves thus became the fourth major club in the West Midlands (the region including Birmingham, ENG) to be put up for sale, after Aston Villa FC and West Bromwich Albion FC (both in the Premier League) and Birmingham City FC (Championship) were marketed over the past 12 months.

“Steve would like to relay to all concerned that his ongoing commitment and financial support to Wolves will continue until a new owner can be found,” added the statement from the club. The asking price for the club has not been publicised.
