England: Anthony Fry appointed new Premier League chairman

Anthony Fry was elected president of the English Premier League on the 26/04/2013. He replaces Sir Dave Richards and will officially take office at the annual general meeting of the Premier League on the 01/06/2013.

Anthony Fry was elected unanimously by a committee chaired by Bruce Buck, chairman of Chelsea, alongside Peter Coates, Stoke City chairman, David Gill, CEO of Manchester United and John Williams, a member of Manchester City's administration committee.

Anthony Fry is currently Chairman of the Financial Committee of the BBC Trust, the decision-making body of the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation). He will leave this position after completing a transition period.
