NBA: Tissot (Swiss watchmaker) becomes the official timekeeper of the NBA from 2016-17

The Swiss watch brand Tissot has become the official timekeeper of the NBA, WNBA (Women's National Basketball League) and the NBA D-League (developmental league) from the 2016-17 season, the brand announced on 05/10/2015. Tissot will provide the official game clock above the basketball hoops, and benefit from visibility in all of the arenas the NBA franchises.

Tissot obtained the worldwide licensing rights of the 30 NBA franchises for watches, clocks and other watch accessories. Tissot has also acquired the rights to the league's broadcasting partners, and will be able to use the image of the NBA in its promotional campaigns. The brand will sponsor official league events such as the NBA All-Star Game, the Draft (allocation of university basketball athletes, and the Samsung NBA Summer League (part of the D-League initiative).
