Serie A: Renault (automobiles) becomes a premium sponsor of SS Lazio in 2015-16

The French automobile manufacturer Renault has become a premium sponsor of SS Lazio (Serie A TIM) for the 2015-16 season, the club announced on 03/10/2015. The partnership was signed with Renault Italy and three dealerships of the brand in Rome (ITA): RRG Filiale di Roma, Fiori and Autoequipe.

The partnership includes Renault brand visibility on the sidelines of the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, on interview panels, hospitality areas, and on the club website. The French manufacturer replaces the Swedish brand Volvo, which was linked to the Roman club in 2014-15. The Renault group is also present in Serie A via its Dacia brand, which is the main shirt sponsor of Udinese Calcio.

Lazio generated €110.9m in turnover during the 2014-15 season, for an operating profit of €5.8m on 30/06/2015. Revenues from sponsorship and advertising were €8.81m in 2014-15, of which only €1.28m from the various partners (against €1.07m in 2013-14). The club had no main shirt sponsor in 2014-15, and is still looking for a major partner to appear on its kit in 2015-16.
