YouTube: subscribers and video views of clubs in the European Top 5 Leagues as of 05/10/2015

The 19 clubs in the Liga BBVA who have an account on the streaming platform YouTube have a cumulative 4 million subscribers, the highest total out of all of the Top 5 European leagues, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 05/10/2015. This figure is largely due to FC Barcelona (1.97 million subscribers) and Real Madrid CF (1.83 million subscribers), who comprise 94.3% of the total subscribers in the Spanish league.

The four other major European leagues all have less than 2 million cumulative subscribers. The Premier League is the second most active league on YouTube, with 1.97 million subscribers and 508 million video views. Ligue 1 remains very far behind with only 10 clubs officially registered on the platform, and a cumulative 373,000 subscribers, including 245,000 for Paris Saint-Germain.
