FIFA: Franz Beckenbauer supports the Tokyo Sexwale as a possible presidential candidate

"I certainly believe that the German Football Association would support his (Tokyo Sexwale's) candidacy. It has the air of neutrality, and therefore I think it would be a good solution," said Franz Beckenbauer, the honorary president of FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) and former member of the FIFA Executive Committee, at a conference attended by the South African Tokyo Sexwale during the "Camp Beckenbauer" in Kitzbühel (AUT) on 06/10/2015.

Tokyo Sexwale (62 years old), businessman, former South African Minister and close to Nelson Mandela, is the chairman of the FIFA committee monitoring relations between Israel and Palestine, which aims to "remove obstacles to good relations between football agencies in Israel and Palestine," created in June 2015.

"A lot of must be done and we must think very carefully and see where we are going. 26/10/2015 is the closing date (to submit candidate applications) so before that time you shall hear from me," stated Tokyo Sexwale on 06/10/2015.
