Liga BBVA: at least 4 million TV viewers watched Matchday 7 of the 2015-16 season

4.014 million TV viewers followed at least nine of the 10 games on Matchday 7 of the 2015-16 Liga BBVA season, held from 02 to 04/10/2015. This is the best cumulative TV audience for a matchday of the Spanish first division since the start of the 2015-16 season.

The best audience for Matchday 7 was for the Club Atlético de Madrid - Real Madrid CF (1-1) derby, which allowed the pay-TV channel Canal+ Liga to draw an average of 1.237 million subscribers during the match, on Sunday 04/10/2015 (20:30 CET). This figure represents a 7.6% audience share, which meant the channel of the Telefonica group recorded the fifth highest audience in the Spanish prime time television market, on 04/10/2015.

The Madrid derby, broadcast on a pay-TV channel, even achieved a higher rating than the Liga BBVA game broadcast on the public channel La 1: Málaga CF - Real Sociedad de Fútbol (3-1) which drew 1.122 million viewers on Saturday 03/10/2015 (22:05 CET). This figure represents a 7.2% audience share, which meant the channel of the RTVE group recorded the third best audience in the Spanish prime time…
