Ligue 1: Marseille sign an agreement with supporters groups to regain control over stadium ticketing

Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1) has regained full and exclusive control over the marketing of the tickets (season tickets and covered stands) for the Stade Vélodrome (67,000 seats), following the conclusion of an agreement with the eight supporters groups who had previously managed a large proportion of the club's ticketing, the club announced, on 06/10/2015. The eight supporters groups involved in the agreement were: Club des Amis de l’OM, Club Central des Supporters, Dodger’s Marseille, Fanatics, Marseille Trop Puissant, South Winners, Ultras Marseille and Yankee Nord Marseille.

Since 1990, under the chairmanship of Bernard Tapie, supporters associations managed, marketed and distributed the season tickets and other match seats in the south and north stands, amongst their own members. The fan groups offered season tickets at an average price of €185 for the 2015-16 season (the price of the ticket acquired from the club being €155 plus an additional €30 commission, on average). The groups were also taking a margin on individual tickets and commercial packages sold in their areas…
