FIFA: "I plan to sue President Blatter, and the money should go back to FIFA" (Chung Mong-joon)

"I plan to sue President Blatter for embezzlement in court. I asked him in 2002 for (details of) his salary and expenses. He refused. For him to be paid without the Executive Committee’s approval is embezzlement," stated Chung Mong-joon, the keynote speaker at the Leaders In Sport summit at Stamford Bridge (London, ENG) on 07/10/2015.

These remarks came after recent, separate investigations into Joseph Blatter, the FIFA president, and Jerome Valcke, the suspended FIFA secretary general. The Swiss Justice opened a criminal case against Joseph Blatter, under suspicion of "criminal mismanagement and, alternatively, misappropriation", on 25/09/2015.

"I have to consult with my Swiss lawyer. He is a two-time champion in Alpine skiing and a very good lawyer. I understand how what I can claim is in proportion to how much damage he (Blatter) inflicted on FIFA," added Chung Mong-joon. "For example, FIFA was humiliated by the judge in the Visa-Mastercard case. The judge mentioned the word ‘lies’ 13 times. There was a $100 million fine.
