France: the US group AEG negotiated with AccorHotels for the naming rights to the Bercy POPB arena

AEG Global Partnerships, a subsidiary company of the American entertainment group AEG (Anschutz Entertainment Group), represented the City of Paris in its negotiations with the Accor hotel group for the naming rights contract for the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy arena, said the group, on 08/10/2015. The arena, which has a capacity of up to 20,300 seats, is now called the AccorHotels Arena POPB. The inauguration of the renovated enclosure will take place in the presence of Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris, on 10/14/2015.

"We are proud to have been chosen by the City of Paris and AEG to associate the AccorHotels brand name with this emblematic sports and entertainment venue. We have forged this partnership with the aim of making The AccorHotels Arena a showcase for French hospitality: welcoming, friendly, and innovative," said Sébastien Bazin, chairman and CEO of AccorHotels, on 08/10/2015. The hotel group is partnered with Havas Sports & Entertainment France in for its communication strategies and its activation plans.
