The Euro 2016 qualifying match between England - Estonia (2-0, Matchday 9 in Group E), was broadcast live and exclusively in the UK by ITV, allowing the private free-TV channel to draw 4.045 million viewers on average on Friday 09/10/2015 (kick-off at 20:45 CET, 19:45 local time).

This figure represented a 20% audience share and allowed ITV to achieve the fifth best performance in the UK television market for prime time on 09/10/2015. The match recorded a peak audience of 4.98 million viewers at 22:00.

The leaders of Group E, England (27 points) and Switzerland (18 points) have guaranteed their qualification for the finals of Euro 2016, even before their last round of matches against Lithuania and Estonia respectively, on Monday 12/10/2015 (kick-off at 20:45 CET). The third qualifying spot for the play-offs will be contested by Slovenia (13 points), who travel to San Marino, Estonia and Lithuania (10 points each).
